Goal :

In this fuse test we are going to test the diffenrce in the fuse between diffent types of contact plates who have the same footprint (2.5mm cell footprint).
The goal of this test is to see if the burning time of all the fuse are the same.

Test with isolated fuses :

For this test we want to know if the conact plate coper zone can corrupt the result with thermal dissipation. In this test we cut the same shape around a fuse to have the same coper zone and the same thermal dissipation.
We decided to use the Blackpack 13s4p fuse and a xiaomi 10s4p fuse who have one of the most burning time difference in 60 Amps (more than 10 seconds for the xiaomi and less than a second for the blackpack).

here is a picture of the fuse with the same coper zone (rectangle 2cm by 1cm).

Results :

Here is the result for the Blackpack. the fuse hold for about two seconds. comapred to the results with a normal contact plate it’s a bit longer.

Here is the result for the Xiaomi. the fuse hold for more than 10 seconds. comapred to the results with a normal contact plate it’s exactly the same.

Conclusion:

There is a huge difference in the fuse depending on the type of contacte plate manifactured by JLCPCB.
The difference of this mesurements did not come from a dfferent coper zone because with a similar coper zone there still remain the same burning time of the fuse. (about 10 seconds between blackpack 13s4p and xiaomi 10s4p).
