This documentation is still very early and not complete nor well written.

It takes 3 steps to know if the Infinite Battery works on your bike:
  • does it fits mechanically,
  • does it fit electrically, and
  • does it fit electronically
It takes only 2 minutes to figure this out, let’s get started! πŸ’ͺ
For information, the battery casing is 25cm x 9cm x 9cm, and weighs about 4kg.

Is it mechanically compatible ?

If your bike is already an E-bike:

  • If you have an external down-tube battery Yes + Easy βœ…Β βœ…Β βœ…Β

If you are doing a conversion

If you are doing a conversion, you can place the battery where you want and where you feel it makes most sense for you:
  • down-tube screwed to the water bottle holder

  • down tube fixed upside down

  • on the rear-rack

Are the voltage and current compatible?

If your bike is an E-bike, then you have a motor controller and you should make sure that it accepts either 36V of 48V (we will provide the two versions). If so you are good to go βœ…Β βœ…Β βœ…Β
Where do i find the info ?
  • on the sticker of your existing battery
    • Image without caption
  • on your charger:
    • Image without caption
    • a 42V charger is made for 36V batteries
    • a 54.3V charger is made for 48V batteries
  • on the sticker of the controller
  • on the bike or the merchant description
Concerning the power, as e-bike sold as ebikes are rated under 500W, there is no limitation on this side as the Infinite Battery can output up to 1000W
In case you do a conversion, then you are the one to chose your controller and all of the controllers you can buy for conversion are compatible:
  • Bafang BBS serie
  • VESC
  • GRIN / Ebike.ca
  • all Asian controllers with +/- only inputs

Is it electronically compatible?

So motor controllers have small communication wires linked to the battery. If you don’t have them and you just see red and black power cable you are compatible.
If not, then there is chance that the controller expect some message from the battery. We have implemented many of these protocols, here is the list:
